Grading Standards

Ultimate Cards and Coins has been serving the hobby since 1987. We take pride in accurate grading, fair pricing, and excellent customer service. Ultimate Cards and Coins has been online since 1998 selling sports cards, coins, and other interesting memorabilia. On eBay our id is UltimateCardsAndCoins. In our time on eBay we earned well over 60,000 positive feedback comments.

Coin Grading

Each coin individually graded using ANA standards, with Photograde as a reference. We have not cleaned any coin, but cannot guarantee it was not cleaned in the past. Any obvious cleaning will be reflected in the price.

Grading Sports Cards

These are some of the toughest grading standards you will find anywhere!

  • Cards listed as NM-MT will have at minimum 4 sharp corners, great color and gloss. Many, especially newer will be closer to Mint.
  • Cards listed as NM+++ are as close to NM-MT as you can get, but have one MINOR flaw keeping the card from NM-MT.
  • Cards listed as NM++ will have at minimum 3 sharp corners, with ONE having a slight peach fuzz.
  • Cards listed as NM+ will have 2-3 sharp corners, others having a a little more peach fuzz.
  • Cards listed as NM will have at minimum 4 solid to sharp corners.
  • Cards listed as EX will have corners with structure, not rounded. Most will be Ex/Mt.
  • Cards listed as VG/EX will have corners starting to round.

Creases and major defects if present are mentioned in the description or title of the item for sale or bid.
